Nancy In Crete
Tuesday 15 May 2012
Good progress made in May 2012.
At apartment in Georgioupolis - new front door and storage - so there's a new key in the key-safe in the recess by light on left. Key goes in horizontally and can need up to 5 turns. This includes mozi screens to all openings now - so windows can be opened to get ventilation but with mozi-screens in place. Also large fan added to main living room ceiling to help keep it cool. Word is that the drainage in the village may get sorted over the 2012/13 winter... and with the local Council's paying Ryanair to fly to Chania - there are good deal to be had.
At house at Kavalos - electric was connected in December so its really now coming together. Stained timber pergola provides lovely shade and there's an external shower to help keep you cool and a huge table to gather round. House repainted (thanks to Jess) and with keybox fitted to internal courtyard (by arches). Now with washing machine, music player (taking ipod, CDs, usb stick or SD card or aux plug in - as at apartment) and shower screen. So there for a romantic break or if you just want to have a lazy "escape" and enjoy the view.
So this blog (again thanks to Jess) is there for friends and users to share info about the places and provide comments, tips and suggestions for enjoying yourselves and having a good holiday.
